Can be done from cover (press to get into cover), from behind (press to enter “sneak mode”), or on an enemy who is caught off guard. (Unknown if this contributes to the 300 takedowns needed) Press when prompted during an enemy melee. Sprint at an unaware or fleeing enemy, pressing when within range. While in combat, pressing will simply punch the target, do this several times to eventually get a takedown prompt. All other enemies, indicated by red markers on the map, will always be considered hostile and kills against them will contribute towards the associated achievements. However, it is unclear if kills in this phase contribute towards your overall progress. Police become hostile once you are being actively pursued within a Red Zone, while the Blue Zone indicates they are searching for you. You can instigate police either by committing a crime in front of an officer or allowing a witness to report your crime and being subsequently spotted by a patrol. Police Officers, indicated by blue markers on the map, are not considered as hostile unless first provoked into attacking. Please take note: Progress towards combat achievements is only earned when killing hostiles. Either way, you will know where you stand prior to completing the game and it can potentially inform you on how other achievement progress may be affected. If you manually track your progress, you can better know if you are close to unlocking the achievement or whether your progress may be glitched. Unfortunately none of the achievements track via the app counter, at least they did not for me when playing in 2020. The related achievements not included here will be discussed during the story portion of the walkthrough, once the specifics for those are acquired, become accessible, or where it makes sense to do so. The achievements listed below can be progressed at pretty much any point in the game, so I have them detailed here. General Tips Combat Related Cumulative Achievements Achievement Progressįor the combat related achievements, you will need to accumulate kills by doing specific tasks or by using specific weapons/equipment against hostile combatants. At the bottom of this page, I will include a potential work around for some of the known glitchy achievements that have worked for some, according to the threads. According to the site, all of these achievements are showing recent activity with getting unlocked, so some may just be more unlucky than others. However, after six playthroughs I still did not get the following: Family, The New Boss, and No Loose Ends. I was able to correct most of the failures to pop these achievements by deleting the game and saved profile data, then reinstalling the game and playing while offline, or doing all the requirements in one session. These were all annoying, but fall far short in comparison to the numerous achievements that didn’t not unlock.Īfter two playthroughs, while playing online and with the most recent updates, here are the achievements that didn't unlock for me which unfortunately align with some of the more common threads/complaints with this game: Earn/Spend $500k, Kill/Flip Racket Bosses, 100/300 takedowns, 10 Molotov kills, and earn Loyalty with all underbosses. Another common occurrence was that the selected mission’s waypoint would switch to a different mission and objective while driving, or the waypoint marker would direct me to the previously selected mission objective, despite manually selecting a new objective. While this was a nuisance, this was easily corrected by going into the game’s menu and reloading to the last checkpoint. Additionally, the prompt to open a door or speak to a mission contact didn’t appear, effectively stalling progress. Another issue was that there were times when the mission target or objective didn’t appear where the marker indicated. As far as gameplay, the game froze for a few seconds, quite frequently, and even crashed on several occasions. BE WARNED! I experienced plenty of glitches and bugs that caused some disruption during gameplay and frustration over achievements not unlocking.
